Helpful Kitchen Tools
Finding and taking advantage of kitchen tools that make meal prep more accessible and manageable for you can make a big difference when planning and preparing meals! There are hundreds of kitchen tools and small appliances that can make a world of a difference when it comes to making meal prep more accessible.
Some Examples Include:
Sitting while preparing meals can help us save energy, which may involve using stools at the counter, stove, or office chairs that roll which can help you save energy that would otherwise be used to walk throughout the kitchen or stand at the counter.
Using ice packs when working near a hot stove may help you stay cool if sensitive to heat, or perhaps you can consider using more cooking tools that give off less heat such as pressure cookers, air fryers, blenders, and/or crock pots. Given that what can be difficult for us, it may be helpful for you to plan ahead just in case.
Opening cans with a manual can opener is painful at best and injury-causing at worse; purchasing an electric can opener makes opening cans an absolute breeze.
Pulsing veggies in a food processor might help you save energy that you may otherwise spend on chopping.
Using a pizza cutter to help you cut softer items may help you save some energy.
You can consider using a plastic bin to gather all of the meal prep items you might need before beginning to prep a meal such as a cutting board, utensils, bowls, ingredients, and hand sanitizer or hand wipes to conserve energy.
