Octreotide
Octreotide is another medication option that has been used for individuals who have not responded to other medication options.
When assessing its effectiveness for these individuals, all of whom had POTS, symptom reduction (though variable) was seen; more specifically, researchers found a reduction in orthostatic intolerance, syncope, standing heart rate, and an increase in systolic blood pressure (Kanjwal et al., 2012).
