Organizing Your Kitchen

It can be really helpful to organize your kitchen in a way that makes meal preparation most convenient for you. Consider enlisting the help of a family member, friend, or other trusted person to help you position items in a way that’s most helpful, or gradually take your time in a stepwise approach. It’s important to make sure your kitchen is user friendly to reduce the energy and increase ease of use and maneuvering.

Some Examples Below:

  • Organizing your kitchen to ensure items you commonly use are shoulder and waist height, making them easier to reach. These items might include bowls, pans, measuring cups, and napkins.

  • You can also organize your cupboards and add labels so that you can more easily find certain items.

  • You can also use labeling techniques to help you organize your refrigerator, in addition to the use of plastic bins.

  • Keep commonly used items in convenient areas that reduce the amount of energy you use.
